"Welcome football fans to the Home of the Raiders of the Lewisville Flower Mound Football Association (LFMFA). If you are interested in youth flag and tackle football (ages 3-12), please call the LFMFA at 972-219-1269."

Welcome to the Lewisville Flower Mound Football Association (LFMFA) Raiders website. You are probably here for one of two reasons: You are part of the team or you are interested in the team. Either way, I welcome you.  If you are interested in the LFMFA please go to (www.lewisvillepeeweefootball.com).

I have been a tackle football head coach for the LFMFA since 1993. I have Gold Level Certification through the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (www.nays.org) and am a Coach member of USA Football (www.usafootball.com).  I attend Dallas Cowboys Coaches Clinics for youth and middle school football coaches as well as Glazier Clinics for youth football coaches (www.glazierclinics.com).

The LFMFA has three tackle age groups: 7-8, 9-10, & 11-12. I have been a head coach in all three groups. I started out by coaching my sons who are now young adults.

My coaching philosophy is simple and mirrors the LFMFA’s mission of putting the kids first through fun, recreation, and competition with all actions predicated on the advancement of this attitude.  I accomplish this by:

  •    Placing the emotional and physical wellbeing of my players ahead of my personal desire to win.

  •   Treating each player as an individual while they learn in a team environment.

  •     Communicating in a positive manner with the best interest of my players at heart.

  •     Organizing practices that are fun and challenging for all my players.

  •     Leading by example in demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship to all my players.

  •     Being knowledgeable of the rules of youth football and teaching them to my players.

  •     Using coaching techniques appropriate for the football skills that I teach to my players.

  •     Knowing that I am a youth football coach, and that the game is for the kids and not the adults.

At the end of each season I measure my success by knowing that each participant learned the necessary fundamentals, improved their football skills, and most of all enjoyed playing the game. With this attitude we will all be winners.
